Actor. Director. Educator.
Hi there! My name is Savannah Devlin, and I’m an actor and director currently living in NYC.
I recently received a BFA in Acting with Honors from Syracuse University. For my Honors thesis project within the Renée Crown University Honors Program, I produced and directed one of my favorite plays, Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl.
I’m originally from Rochester, NY, where I grew up with two younger sisters, my amazing and supportive parents, and our dog, Stella. My first show ever was a production of Honk! Jr, where I played a tadpole, was onstage for five minutes, and loved every second! My love for performing grew as I did, and I found my passion at A Magical Journey Thru STAGES, a high- quality youth theater company in Rochester.
At Syracuse University, I honed my skills as a performer and had countless experiences that shaped me into the artist that I am today. In London, I took classes at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and learned about classical acting. In Los Angeles, I attended the Aaron Sorkin Los Angeles Symposium and began making connections on the West Coast. In New York City, I participated in the Tepper Semester, where I began to experience the industry first hand and started growing roots as a NYC-based artist. In Syracuse, I grew a passion for drama therapy through my five semesters as a student facilitator for All Star C.A.S.T., a program where I developed weekly workshops for a group of Syracuse residents with learning disabilities.
In addition to performing, directing, and working as an educator, I love reading new plays, books, and poetry, exploring the city and spending time with my friends and family.
