This semester, I played Gerty Fail in Failure: A Love Story on the mainstage in the Department of Drama at Syracuse. This role was very special to me because Gerty is the oldest of three sisters, just like me! She runs her family’s clock shop in Chicago in the 1920s, and the play follows her family through a year that throws countless losses at them.

This play was directed by Thom Miller, one of my professors, and I got the opportunity to perform with many of my closest friends! This production brought forward an amazing story of loss and perseverance to audiences, and it was an honor to perform in it.
