Tepper Semester in NYC

After the fall semester concluded, I finished my time on campus at Syracuse and moved to New York City this winter! Here at the Tepper Semester, I am taking classes in improvisation, movement, scene study, on camera acting, audition technique, and more! I’ve had the chance to meet dozens of industry professionals such as agents, managers, casting directors, writers, and producers.

I’m also taking a class called Theatre Topics which allows us to see two shows a week for the time that we’re in New York. In total, we will see 24 shows this semester! Some of my favorites have been Wolf Play at MCC Theater, How to Defend Yourself at New York Theatre Workshop, and Fat Ham, Parade, and Prima Facie on Broadway.

I’ve been lucky to work with professionals like David Caparelliotis, Ed Herbstman, Darryl Quinton, Erica Jensen, Paul Davis, Brian McManamon, and Miriam Weiner in my time at Tepper, and I have had the time of my life working with them and learning from them.
